The programme starts in Luxor with two days of visits. One focuses on the west bank of the Nile with the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon, while the other takes you to the east side, where you will see the temples of Karnak and Luxor. The second leg of your journey will take you to Cairo, and over three days, you'll visit the city, the historic quarter and, of course, the pyramids of Giza. Check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight stay. Day 2 (Tuesday): West Bank - Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi of Memnon Breakfast at the hotel. Today's visits will focus on the west bank of the Nile. You will start with the Valley of the Kings, known for housing the tombs of many New Kingdom pharaohs. This is followed by a visit to the Temple of Hatshepsut, an impressive funerary temple considered to be a masterpiece of ancient architecture. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay. Day 3 (Wednesday): East Bank - Temples of Karnak and Luxor Breakfast at the hotel. On this day, you will discover two must-see monuments on the East Bank: the temples of Karnak and Luxor. You will begin with Luxor Temple, dedicated to the cult of Amun (the god of the wind) and one of the best-preserved buildings of the New Kingdom. The next stop is Karnak Temple, less than 3 kilometres away, the largest religious complex in antiquity and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay. Day 4 (Thursday): Luxor - Cairo Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out, transfer to Luxor airport for your flight to Cairo. Option to have lunch in a local restaurant. Transfer to the hotel and check-in. Dinner and overnight stay. Day 5 (Friday): The Pyramids of Giza Breakfast at the hotel. This day's excursion will take you to the famous Pyramids of Giza, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here you will discover the three largest and most famous pyramids in Egypt (those of Khufu, Khephren and Mykerinos) and the monumental sculpture of the Sphinx that sits in front of them. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay. Day 6 (Saturday): Old Cairo and Saladin's Citadel Breakfast at the hotel. This day will take you on a tour of Old Cairo and Saladin's Citadel. Old Cairo is the oldest part of the city. It is steeped in history and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with many points of interest, such as the Amr Ibn Al-as Mosque, the Hanging Church and the Synagogue. Strolling through its narrow cobbled streets will take you on a real journey back in time! The fortress, whose silhouette is dominated by the domes and minarets of the alabaster mosque, offers a lovely panoramic view of Cairo. A visit to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, devoted to Egyptian antiquity, is also planned. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay. Day 7 (Sunday): Cairo - Luxor Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out, transfer to Cairo airport to return to Luxor. Arrival in Luxor, transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
